Cyril Ricci · HNS Performance

Independent field research at the laboratory–performance interface.

HNS Performance develops and applies Ventilatory Strategies Training in professional endurance cycling, translating physiological measurement into rider-specific field decisions.

Position & governance

Field specialisation

Nearly twelve years working as an exercise physiologist in endurance performance, including six years specialised in ventilatory function, with WorldTour and ProTeam riders profiled and monitored longitudinally.

Role

HNS operates as a specialist extension of the performance team: profiling, analysis, intervention design, field monitoring and technical reporting. The objective is integration—not replacement of the existing HOP, coach or physiologist.

Medical boundary

HNS can identify abnormal functional signals and quantify their performance consequences. Clinical diagnosis, medication and clinical treatment remain exclusively under the authority of qualified medical staff.
